Workforce: Yahsat’s people are critical to the successful delivery of its strategy. Guided by our founding Emirati values, we pay attention and care to maintaining inclusivity, diversity among our workforce.

Board Committees: Yahsat Board is collectively responsible for the oversight and success of our business. Through its committees, the Board ensures that the importance of compliance and integrity is recognized at all levels, throughout the Group. Yahsat has 2 women on its Board of Directors, which again is strongly reflective of our commitment to maintaining gender parity and providing equal opportunities to women.

Shareholders: Yahsat maintains an active dialogue with our shareholders throughout the year through regular performance updates via phone and email. This ensures that the shareholder views are taken into account when Board decisions are taken.

Local Committees & NGOs: The long-term success of Yahsat’s business is closely tied to the success of the communities in which it operates. We also actively engage with many different NGOs around the world, on a variety of topics ranging  from pandemics, disasters due to climate change to conflicts and refugee crises. We are closely working with entities like the UAE's National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA), Emirates Red Crescent Authority and international responders such as International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Emergency Telecommunication Cluster (ETC) to extend the scope of their operations. 

Customers: Yahsat’s customers are made up of individuals of different nationalities, genders, age groups, income strata and ethnicities. We serve national governments, humanitarian agencies as well as a range of organizations across the globe from small family-owned businesses to large multinational enterprises.

 

Partners & Suppliers: Yahsat actively engages with its partners and suppliers to comply with its requirements given they can have a social, environmental and ethical impact. We are the preferred satellite communications supplier of the UAE Government. Our services are not restricted by national boundaries. We connect underserved and unserved communities in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Australia and Brazil who are cut off from terrestrial telecom networks. 

Regulators & Governments: Yahsat engages continually with national and international regulators such as International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the UAE's Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, governments and political representatives, ensuring integrity and accountability. We also work closely with industry bodies and trade associations. 

Compliance: Yahsat complies with various legal and regulatory requirements and risks in the countries in which it has facilities or operations, involving compliance with sanctions, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, export control laws and regulations. Compliance is enforced by Yahsat’s Ethics & Compliance Office.
